Told without dialogue and designed to be watched together with friends in-game alongside new playable in-game content, this animated origin story reveals the events that set Sky’s world on its path to ruin, in our most immersive storytelling format yet.

Dive deeper into the adventure of The Two Embers with each quest, walking, creating, and standing strong alongside the people who lived in the final years of the kingdom. 

From learning how to survive in this bygone kingdom to witnessing pivotal moments that echo through Sky’s past and present, the story unfolds on two fronts: the silver screen and the realms of Sky. And as the Season progresses, so too will the stakes grow more serious as the story shifts in unexpected, powerful ways.

Later into the Season as the story progresses, you’ll have the chance to build a unique relationship with one of the Season’s most memorable characters. The gentle, expressive manatee responds to your actions and stands by your side throughout the journey. 

More than a helper, the manatee is a friend, an allegory of trust, empathy, and the quiet strength it takes to be there for someone, even when the world falls apart. Your bond evolves over time, and you will notice how the manatee’s behavior reflects the growing connection between you both.

This Season’s setting is one of Sky’s most dynamic and expansive environments to date. The bustling market village you’ll explore is alive with Spirits, vibrant with activity, and full of hidden moments to discover. Whether it’s a whispered conversation, a look exchanged between characters, or a child disappearing into the crowd, every detail invites curiosity.

The Season’s cosmetics also reflect this rich narrative, drawing inspiration directly from the people and cultures you’ll meet. Some of us have already fallen in love with meaningful pieces like the manatee accessory and earrings.

Sky: The Two Embers - Part 1 is a first glimpse into a larger animated feature. Each chapter premieres weekly starting July 21st. Together, the film and game content form one of the most ambitious storytelling experiences Sky has ever offered—a first-of-its-kind blend of cinema, play, and emotional connection.

To preserve the magic for all players, we kindly request that you refrain from uploading complete chapters, large unedited segments, or redistributing the film commercially or on social media.

If you plan to create content around the film, please be mindful of the following points that all creators will be required to follow:

  • You are free to use and share the trailer and teaser in parts or in its entirety, with or without commentary.

  • If you plan to use footage outside of the trailer, we ask for any continuous footage of the animation to be limited to 30 seconds maximum per clip/piece of content, either live or VOD.

  • We also ask that you make use of that footage in a transformative way, not just show it as is without your original contributions/edits. Your content should be adding your unique point of view on the footage commentary, criticism, educational comment, or parody. Do not compile clips together to recreate part or whole of the film.
